WE KILL MONSTERS is a comic book about two brothers – JAKE AND ANDREW BASHER, of BASHER BROS. AUTO REPAIR & BODY SHOP – who discover one horrible evening that monsters have begun to infest the world. When Andrew is attacked outside a bar by a vicious, blood-thirsty monster, his brother Jake saves his life, splitting open the beast’s skull with a shovel – but not before Jake is savagely bitten. By luck, Andrew discovers he can save Jake’s life with a GLOWING BLUE FLUID that leaks from the monster’s brain. But the brothers soon discover this fluid is a double-edged sword: without a constant supply of this blue fluid – which the brothers call MONSTER JUICE – Jake will die. So the brothers have no choice: they must hunt monsters for the fluid in their brains until they find a cure for Jake. Unfortunately, the more monster juice Jake imbibes, the more he is slowly becoming a monster himself. Already Jake’s left arm has become a SUPER-STRONG MONSTER ARM. Jake and Andrew join forces with VANESSA, a bartender and Andrew's ex-fiancee who has her own reasons for wanting to unravel the mystery of the monsters. The Basher brothers convert their auto repair shop into their own secret low-tech, homemade, ANTI-MONSTER WEAPONS SHOP. Since every monster has a different weak spot, the brothers must often create new, ad-hoc weaponry to fight them. They also reinforce the first car they rebuilt together – their father's 1950 Chevrolet pick up truck – to withstand monster attacks. For a hood ornament, they mount the 3-eyed skull of the monster that bit Jake. In this machine, Andrew, Jake, and Vanessa hunt monsters of all shapes and sizes, looking for answers...
